CHINA RAILWAY FIRST GROUP – T302 PROJECT

, Past Project – 2018

Awarded by China Railway First Group Co., Ltd for 2 units of 55 ton Gantry Cranes for Land Transport Authority (LTA) – Thomson-East Coast Line – T302 project

LTA awarded the construction of Facility Building and Tunnels @ Bay East Drive to China Railway First Group Co., Ltd. Singapore Branch. This also included a Shell station near Gardens by the Bay (Bay East).

Jenmon was then awarded by China Railway First Group Co., Ltd to design a first ever motorised tipping bucket complete with supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of these 2 units of 55 ton Gantry Cranes.

Traditionally, a wall was used to aid the tipping of the bucket onto the discharging point. However, China Railway First Group Co., Ltd. had a special requirement. In order to fulfil this, the Gantry Cranes had to be designed with a motorised tipping hook and spreader beam. A load limiter with load recording device was used to records the daily output of the process. Cameras were also installed to monitor the entire lifting process.

Throughout the process of designing the tipper, there were several discussions between both China Railway First Group Co., Ltd. and Jenmon design team. Numerous drawings and videos were exchanged, ensuring that the final design suited their desired needs. This innovation has led to an increase in productivity and safer work environment.

With this newly innovated design, Jenmon hopes to use this motorised tipping bucket in the coming projects to help in productivity and saving money for customers.

IPS PROJECT

, Past Project – 2018

Awarded by Integrated Precast Solutions Pte Ltd (IPS) for 3 units of 40 ton Gantry Cranes for IPS Fit-Out Factory in Jurong Port, Singapore

Integrated Precast Solutions Pte Ltd is a fully owned subsidiary of Teambuild Construction Pte Ltd. Teambuild Construction Pte Ltd is a contractor for Singapore Housing & Development Board (HDB), for the Prefabricated Pre-finished Volumetric Construction (PPVC) systems used in the construction of residential buildings.

Jenmon was awarded by Integrated Precast Solutions Pte Ltd to design, supply, deliver, install, test and commission 3 units of 40 ton Double Girder Gantry Cranes with the travelling distance of 103m. To maximize the utilization of the open yard, the cranes had to be designed to cover the entire yard.

Jenmon’s Project and Design team worked closely with IPS to achieve maximum productivity, quality and safety throughout the project.

Awarded by Sumitomo Chemical Engineering for 1 unit of 35 ton Double Girder Gantry Crane at Jurong Island

, Past Project – 2018

Jenmon was awarded by Sumitomo Chemical Engineering Singapore Pte Ltd (SCEC) to design, supply, deliver, install, test and commission a unit of 35 ton Double Girder Explosion Proof Gantry Crane system with mechanical spreader beam. The location of this project was at Jurong Island.

Sumitomo Chemical Engineering Singapore Pte Ltd provides engineering, procurement and construction services. They have piled several plant construction records in various fields such as Petrochemicals, Basic Chemicals, Pharmaceutical Chemicals, Fine Chemicals, Chemicals for Information Technology and Environment.

Jenmon used energy chains which are capable of feeding the primary power and control cables along the crane bridge easily. As the electrical cables that hang from the crane are not visible, the cranes have a more sophisticated and safe design.

The most challenging part of the project was to ensure that the energy chain used for the long travelling of the crane would be able to continuously supply power on the complete travelling distance. This included a portion of 10m road for trucks and lorries to travel for loading and unloading of goods.

Therefore, Jenmon’s Engineering and Design team innovated and incorporated the existing energy chain with a retractable feature to allow the Gantry Crane to travel onto the road seamlessly without the need to use the energy chain over the 10m road.

Awarded by China Jingye Engineering Corporation Ltd (Singapore Branch) for 1 unit of 40 ton Gantry Crane for Land Transport Authority (LTA) – Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) – T311 project

, Past Project – 2018

LTA awarded the construction of Bedok South Station and tunnels from Thomson – East Coast Line to China Jingye Engineering Corporation Ltd (Singapore Branch). This involved the construction of the structure of the station, as well as its associated tunnels.

China Jingye Engineering Corporation Ltd (Singapore Branch) has previously completed a number of residential projects, as well as a number of local projects namely Universal Studios, Singapore and Resorts World Sentosa.

Jenmon was then appointed by China Jingye Engineering Corporation Ltd (Singapore Branch) to design, supply, deliver, install, test and commission 1 unit of 40 ton Gantry Crane.

The gantry crane’s span and total hook height were 30m. Due to the fact that Jenmon had already done many past projects with cranes of longer spans and hook heights, we were extremely confident in undertaking this project.

As all our customers understand the importance of safety and quality equipment, they are very forthcoming with us performing monthly maintenance, ensuring that the whole process runs smoothly. They also willingly signed up for the ‘Crane Operators Training’ regarding the usage of safely operating a Gantry Crane. Jenmon therefore promotes safety and quality in line with our vision – to create a SAFE and PRODUCTIVE workplace.
